I love Paris in the sun, especially the spring sun which Paris is so famous for. I’m visiting that city of lights at the moment, enjoying a few more meetings with the management (they’re over here this week, after meeting them over there last week!!!)
I’m camped at the desk I used to have when I was based here, a corner office with a beautiful view of the Seine as it passes by Boulogne Billancourt and the sun that is setting behind the hills that frame Sèvres is the first time I’ve felt that spring sun over Paris this year.
Maybe winter’s coming to a slow close… Wouldn’t it be wonderful after all these months of snow? I just can’t wait!

It has been many years since I was last in Paris. I remember very well the boulevards and the central reservations separating the dual carriageways in the town, the cafés, restaurants and bars. We were only passing through on our way to the south coast and it was summertime. All the trees were green and the place was alive. Fond memories of 1988…………we had two little children in tow, which limited our mobility! Love

It sounds like a lovely holiday, the one you had in 1988. I have to admit that I do rather miss France. It was my home for 12 years and whilst I do enjoy Hamburg, for me there’s something missing when compared to France. It’s nice to be back here often for my work…
Well, as you know I have travelled to and lived in various parts of the globe, and I have to biasedly say that the UK in sunshine does take some beating. However, since it is pretty rare, you have to enjoy it while you can! Meantime, there’s the South of France….ah!
Ah yes, the South of France. That was more like it!
As for that British sun, you must be referring to that slightly lighter spot in the grey skies… That’s the British sun, isn’t it???
