Yu+Me Dream is a webcomic by Megan Rose Gedris to which I have become totally addicted. It’s a weird, fascinating, complex story that will play with your head. Following the story of the love between Fiona and Lia, it’s a lovely tale which will take you places no other comic has done! I love it!
What’s special about this webcomic is that not only is the story good (and completely addictive), the artwork is amazing, with different drawing styles being used for different ‘scenes’. It’s definitely experimental, but you don’t get the feeling that the reader is a guinea pig, you feel you’re being drawn along with Megan exploring the drawing styles open to hear and the changes in style are a lovely way to separate the scenes which make up the story.
This is highly recommended!!!
Go on… Read it!

Sorry Emily it didn’t do it for me. I cannot get anything out of reading this stuff. Great form of ‘escapism’ with a message or more if that takes your fancy. Happy for you so indulge! I’ll stick with other things.

This sort of media is not for everyone, it’s true, and the content is undoubtedly not up your street. However, I like sharing things which give me pleasure, even more so if I respect the person creating it (which I do in this case). I’ll have to do some book reviews over here over the coming months. There are so many things which fascinate me which I’d like to share (though I worry about boring everyone’s pants off!
)
Well I’m still here aren’t I? You haven’t bored the pants off me yet. Love

I’m very touched to hear that!
You can bore my pants off anytime, hee hee!
I wasn’t planning on boring them off… I have more direct techniques!!!
Commenting on a less suggestive level (sorry!), I did pour over American comics in my youth in the Middle East, but have rarely read any as an adult. This was not due to any particular objection, although many comics do involve violence. However, the exception I made were the cartoon stories by Posy Simmonds, whose stories I absolutely love, notably Gemma Bovary.
Looking on Amazon, I notice that she has a couple more out…so, if anyone is struggling over my Christmas presents out there, here’s the ideal gift suggestion! Not hinting too much, am I?!
So subtle!!!
The Gemma Bocary books do look interesting, though!
Oh, it’s my absolute favourite webcomic! This week had a few shocks, didn’t it?

Oh gosh, yes… At this moment in time, if I had a Tardis, the only thing I’d use it for is to travel forward in time to read the story faster!!!
